Check windows and reflections from the lens position
A window is both a view outward and a possible reflective surface. Review it under the lighting used for the shoot. Inspect mirrors, framed glass, dark monitors, glossy appliances, glasses, and reflective props as separate parts of the picture.
Record a movement test while the creator and props follow their planned paths. Look for newly exposed areas and reflections that appear as an object turns. Moving the camera can solve a direct view while creating a different reflection, so inspect the revised frame before recording the full take.
Do not rely on a dark preview to establish that a private area contains no visible detail. Open a test export and examine it with ordinary viewing adjustments. If you cannot confidently exclude the view, block it physically, change the angle, or omit the shot. Darkness is not a substitute for checking what the camera recorded.
How to anonymize a background in an existing photo
Work on a copy and keep the source restricted. Before choosing an effect, inspect the full image, including all four corners and small reflective surfaces. Record the regions that violate the exclusion rule. This makes it less likely that a prominent window receives attention while a tiny delivery label is missed.

As of September 6, 2026, Adobe's Premiere mask-tracking instructions describe automatic tracking across frames followed by review and adjustment of masks or keyframes. That supports using tracking as an editing aid. It does not certify that a tracked region stays private in your footage.
When using background removal, inspect holes within the foreground as well as its outside outline. A gap between fingers or between the creator and a chair can retain a piece of the room. Treat transparent or reflective objects separately: keeping an object may also keep a view or reflection inside it.
If the rule allows no exposed frame of a particular document or view, review every frame of the relevant interval using frame stepping. Spot checks cannot establish that condition. When that review is impractical, shorten the shot, enlarge an opaque treatment where appropriate, simplify the composition, or reshoot. Consider an illustrative setup, not a measured test: a creator records a seated demonstration beside a window. A parcel rests on the desk, and a dark monitor behind the camera appears in a glossy prop. The content must show the creator's hands and upper body, while the home view and personal information must remain private.
Before the next take, remove the parcel and reposition the prop so its reflection can be checked. Change the camera angle and use a backdrop that excludes the window. Record the full hand movement, then inspect the edges when the creator leans sideways. These changes address the scene before they become a long editing task.
For an existing still, a tighter crop might remove the window and parcel without losing the demonstration. If the reflection stays inside the prop, it requires its own treatment or a different image. Removing the area around the creator does not automatically remove what appears within an object held by them.
For the existing video, check whether the same crop excludes the window throughout the take. If a camera move reveals it again, correct that interval or choose another shot. Review the background across exports and across posts
Open each deliverable independently: the main image or video, alternate crop, cover, teaser, and any behind-the-scenes asset. Do not rebuild a cover from the untouched source merely because the video was corrected. Check backgrounds again when adding a collage, picture-in-picture view, or closing card.
Review the set of posts as well as the individual file.
